The sale of used household goods by residential occupants on their premises, normally referred to as garage sales or yard sales, are allowed without a permit as long as the total number of days on which such sales are held does not exceed seven (7) days in any year, except by Special Permit of the Zoning Board of Appeals. You must have all items on your property and they cannot encroach onto the sidewalk. The City requests that no items be left behind, the area should be cleared of any debris, and all signs advertising the yard sale be removed.
